In this short promotional video for the Scituate High School hockey program, we set out to capture the spirit of the town of Scituate, Massachusetts, while also creating excitement for the team’s upcoming season in an extremely limited budget.

From the sound design, to the color grade, it was all about capturing that nautical blue collar attitude that the Sailors take pride in. We went for a timeless and gritty film look to embody the spirit that our location gave us. We embraced the challenge of including lower quality game footage, and went with a filmic archival effect to help intertwine it with our shots.

Fitchburg State Football

We set out to create a hype piece for Fitchburg State’s Football team that revolved around their mascot, The Falcon. Aligning the traits in the bird of prey with what you’d want in a player on the field, without explicitly saying it. After a change in coaching staff and a bit of a rebuild, the direction of the video had to change in the edit, and it became a comeback piece.

With a razor thin budget, we were able to create a high production level piece using the people and resources we had available to us. It is a longer, hero-campaign style video that could be cut down to 60 or 30 second commercial cuts.
